A Grand Day Out at Monkey World - Ape Rescue Centre in Dorset!
Set in the heart of the Dorset countryside, the centre is dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of primates in need.
With over 250 primates of 20 different species, Monkey World is the largest sanctuary of its kind in the world.
The monkeys and apes that live at the park are mainly there as a result of being abused or neglected in their previous circumstances. The expert team of primate care staff work around the clock to rehabilitate and integrate the animals into natural living groups.
Monkey World and its inhabitants have been the subject of TV documentaries ‘Monkey Business’ and ‘Monkey Life’ for more than a decade. From rescue to rehabilitation, the programs are a true to life soap opera following the lives of the primates, so visit the park to see some of the stars for yourself!
