Rheidol Railway

Travelling on the Vale of Rheidol Railway is the finest way to see the stunning Rheidol Valley. Opened in 1902, the railway has been delighting passengers young and old for over a century. Brecon Mountain Railway

Travel in all-weather coach behind a vintage steam locomotive through beautiful scenery to Torpantau high in the Brecon Beacons.

Travel the full length of the Taf Fechan reservoir on one of the most popular railways in Wales. At Pontsticill you can alight from the train and visit our lakeside cafe, see our new steam museum, admire the view or go for a ramble alongside the reservoir. There is also a children's play area here. On your return to Pant you can visit the workshop where our steam locomotives are repaired and new ones built. Ffestiniog Railway

The Ffestiniog Railway takes you from the harbour in Porthmadog to the slate town of Blaenau Ffestiniog.

Welsh Highland Railway

Welshpool & Llanfair Railway

A 16 mile return journey by narrow gauge steam train through beautiful Mid Wales countryside.

Opened in 1903 to link the market town of Welshpool to the rural community of Llanfair Caereinion, the 2 foot 6 inch narrow gauge steam railway is now a very popular tourist attraction. Click photo for more details.
